Ann-Katherine and Taylor

It’s December 1st. Tell me I’m not the only one who thinks November flew by. I feel like I was just counting down to Thanksgiving and now the Christmas decorations are coming down to fill the spots where the pumpkins and maple leaves were scattered throughout our house. I have been reflecting back on the last 6 months and can’t believe all that has happened. I want to highlight my last wedding of the season for me in this post while emphasizing the excitement I have for the new brides-to-be and all of the Holiday cheer that follows with the end of the season!
It’s bittersweet when the weddings come to a close and I wait until it starts to warm back up for the weddings to start again. The timing is perfect, especially for me this year. I had about a month in between my last wedding with my business with Ann Katherine and my last wedding of the season with Dear Sweetheart Events. Since then, I’ve been working on setting my goals for next year, planning an awesome styled shoot with Callie Lindsey, building my website and meeting some of my sweet new brides.
Ending my season with the Vath Wedding was perfect. I got to see so many familiar faces and work with such a talented photographer. Ann-Katherine chose beautiful reds and gold for her color pallet that was perfect for the fall season! Getting to work with brides I’ve known for so long is such a joy and I hope to have the opportunity more often. I love seeing a bride’s dreams come to life and interact with the other phenomenal vendors, but what’s even better and when I get to see someone I have known for many years get the wedding of their dreams.
It’s that time of the year when commitments are made and engagements are ringing in the new year! If the Holidays aren’t joyful enough as they are, the new engagements make them immensely better!

How gorgeous is Ann-Katherine's ring?!

That's pure joy.

Such a handsome group of guys!

These colors make my heart so happy!

Jordan and Ashley

Ashley and Jordan’s wedding day was a dream! The weather was perfect, despite the rain and hot weather leading up to their beautiful Sunday wedding. The location was gorgeous and cozy and they had local beers! Not only did they have local beer, but the food served at the reception was made with local ingredients as well. Most of their guests were from out of state, so they truly got a taste of Richmond while attending one of the most fun weddings I have planned for the 2017 season!
From the very start, Ashley and Jordan were a joy to work with. They were good at making important decisions, had a vision in mind and Jordan was such an involved groom! I mean, he even did the light installation in the courtyard. Jordan works for a company that does lighting for huge events and he was able to show off his work for his own wedding, how cool is that? Ashley’s main color was deep purple with hints of gold and neutrals. I love this color scheme for fall and it brought so much life to the courtyard of Linden Rowe.
Ashley and Jordan were so much fun! The most important thing to them was the commitment they were making to each other and that their guests would have a great time! I am certain that their guests had a fantastic time because I did!! It’s hard not to enjoy yourself when you’re surrounded by great people, an awesome line up of vendors, a phenomenal DJ and yummy food! Urban Farmhouse is the in-house caterer for Linden Rowe. They are a business that uses local ingredients to make all of their delicious food. Their team was great and their head guy was so much fun to work with. The fantastic pictures were taken by Don Mears and once again, I am amazed by his work. He even saved my assistant, Kaitlyn and I by getting us Cokes from down the street.  I couldn’t forget about Paisley & Jade. Personally, I think there’s never a time or event when their stuff shouldn’t be there. It makes every occasion come together and look perfect! When I have fun at a wedding because of the awesome couple, great vendors and amazing guests, it makes me love my job even more.
Ashley and Jordan, thank you for trusting me on one of the most important days of your life. Your wedding was gorgeous, the party was fun (even for those of us working!!), your guests were so entertaining, the food was fantastic and working with all of your other vendors was a dream. Ashley, your bridesmaids were the sweetest and incredibly helpful. I could tell that they were all thrilled to witness you marry your best friend. You looked absolutely stunning and I never saw you without a huge smile on your face! Jordan, your groomsmen were hilarious and such gentlemen. You were so relaxed and the way you looked at Ashley the entire evening was so endearing.
I wish you both a life full of happiness, joy and so many adventures! Thank you for making the last Hannah Marie Events wedding of the season so perfect and fun! It was truly a wedding I’d repeat again.
How fun are these girls?!
These guys were pretty fun too!
Whiskey played a very important part in this day.
Those purple flowers are to die for!

That lighting! Don, you're a magician!
Ashley, you're stunning.

It tasted even better than it looks!
Even people walking down the street were having a good time!

Paisley & Jade did it again!

The simplicity of their decor was beautiful!
So pretty!!
The way she looks at him

One of the best looking bridal parties to date!

Congratulations, Ashley and Jordan!
